Description

Bea Joppen (° 1966) has been working as an independent upholstery specialist since 2005. Her feel of authenticity & beauty pushed her into this almost extincted craft. More and more people discover the possibilities of an old dusty seat. They want bold, bright colors or designs in their living room or they see the value of a restoration. In 2007 Bea opened her own studio in an old candy factory in the Kroonstraat in Borgerhout. After a few years, this studio became too small, and in 2013 Bea moved to an old industrial business building on the Albert Canal in Merksem, Antwerp.
In addition to her education of upholstery, Bea followed various courses of color and painting techniques. She works classic as well as modern upholstery designs like: antique seats, modern salons, design furniture, loose pillows, as well as overall projects.
